Founder, Chief Executive Officer

One of New Zealand’s most successful entrepreneurs, Tony is the founder of Just Life Group and has been the company’s Chief Executive since it was established in 1987.

Tony’s entrepreneurial and leadership skills, together with his unflagging energy, have seen the Company grow both organically and by acquisition.

Under Tony’s guidance, the Company’s mission statement – Enhancing Lives – is openly demonstrated through its FIRST values: Fun, Integrity, Respect, Service and Trust. Tony lives by these values and firmly believes in treating every customer and shareholder as part of the Just Life family.

Tony is passionate about business education being the key to economic prosperity and was the driving force behind establishing the country’s first secondary school Business School at his alma mater, Onehunga High School.

Tony has been inducted into the New Zealand Business Hall of Fame, is an Officer of the New Zealand Order of Merit (ONZM), a World Class New Zealander, a Distinguished Alumnus of the University of Auckland, and in 2012 was the first New Zealander to be inducted into the international Beta Gamma Sigma Society.

He’s a past president and member of Entrepreneurs’ Organization, a member of YPO, and author of The ABCs of Business; Never Hire a Person Who Walks Slowly.

Tony has been married to Heather for 41 years, they are both avid tennis players, and enjoy regular weekly matches with friends. They are parents to Amante, a journalist currently living and working in the United Kingdom and the proud owners of Pretzel the Schnauzer.
